Meet The Bishop

Bishop Brenda D. Evans Cooper is uncompromising when delivering the Word of God. From Genesis to Revelations, she impresses upon all within earshot the importance of pressing into God's Word. Her boldness to speak unapologetically is a testament to her faith in God and not a pride of self. Her profound ability speak to the hearts of individuals simultaneously through one message gives credence to her calling as Bishop.

The path to become a Bishop was realized at the age of 12 when Brenda accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, which she did while attending Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana. At this time, she opened the door for God to guide her steps which eventually led her to Christ Chapel Long Beach in 1986. It was there, under the leadership of Bishop Michael Cole, that Brenda received her pastoral collar.

In 1998, Pastor Brenda Evans was inspired to receive a Divine Word from the book of Joshua; it was by this Word that Christ Chapel North Park (later renamed Christ Chapel World Ministries) was formed. CCNP opened its doors on June 6, 1999 in San Diego, Through it, many ministries have been born, including God's Thyme Missions in 2001, Whose You Are Evangelical Ministries in 2005 and World Harvest Faith Center in 2006.

Bishop Brenda extends herself to many community organizations, including Alternative Community Services (ACS), where she is founder. ACS provides needed assitance to those who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

On August 25, 2007, Pastor Brenda was elevated to Bishop. She immediately accepted her new responsibilities and has continued to press forward in an effort to be an example to her parishioners. She has truly given her life to the calling that God has given to her; "to reach the world for eternal life."
